The inauguration of an LGBT bar in downtown Salvador was marked by homophobic attacks last Friday (05).
Stones and ice cubes were hurled on the roof of the establishment and caused panic in which it was present.
Part of the kitchen and the internal bar area were damaged. The attacks ended only after the arrival of the police. No one was injured.
“Our bar opened today (Friday), but it’s not the first time this happens with the LGBT bars that work here. It’s bias. It was premeditated by the amount of ice that was thrown. The intention was to hurt people. I have all the licenses and I can work, “said owner Rosy Silva in an interview with the newspaper Correio.
