India can decriminalize homosexuality

India is moving towards the decriminalization of homosexuality in the country. Illegal in the country since 1860, when it was British colony, the government seems to want to release what was already legal there between 2009 and 2013.

Nine judges of the Delhi Supreme Court, the Indian capital, assess whether the right to privacy can be defined as a fundamental right, contrary to the country’s Criminal Code.

Now, the Supreme re-evaluates what was decided four years ago, allowing the Indian LGBT community no longer to hide in the country.
