(CFA) and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite and Transgender (LGBT) policies were agreed and approved on Thursday (28) during the 9th Regular Meeting of the Tripartite Interagency Committee (CIT) – a permanent forum for negotiation and articulation of the spheres of management of the Unified Health System (SUS). Both Operational Plans will be in force for the 2017-2019 triennium.
According to Gerlane Baccarin, the Secretary for Strategic and Participatory Management of the Ministry of Health (SGEP / MS), the approval of the Operational Plans is fundamental for the actions of policies to promote health equity. “It is important to emphasize the guiding role that the Operative Plans have for the implementation of policies in municipal, state and federal management, so that access to health of vulnerable populations is effectively monitored, evaluated and improved,” he points out.
With the objective of establishing strategies for the implementation of the National Policies for the Comprehensive Health of CFA and LGBT Populations, the Operative Plans aim to guarantee access to health services and actions in a timely and humanized manner, contributing to the improvement of the health conditions of these populations .
