From yesterday (2) until October 31, a series of cultural attractions that address LGBT themes take place in Rio in celebration of the “Month of Diversity”. The program will have an opening ceremony on Tuesday in the auditorium of the São Sebastião Administrative Center (CASS). In all, more than 70 activities such as plays, photographic exhibitions, debate wheels, LGBT employability fair and courses are part of the monthly schedule.
In the calendar, LGBT Pride Parades + parade through Vista Alegre (08), Cordovil (4), Caju (21), Vila da Penha (22), Rocinha (28) and Madureira (29). Before, this Saturday (7), it is the turn of the carnival group “Friends of the Bar” to go to the streets and to promote a feijoada against the prejudice in the Vitrine Lounge Beer, in the Bar, at 13h.
Theater fans can watch the piece Bicha Oca from 5 to 15, from Thursday to Sunday, at 7:00 pm, at the Castelinho do Flamengo. Meanwhile, at the Maria Clara Machado Theater, at the Gávea Planetarium, the BR-Trans show, which cuts through the daily lives of transvestites and transsexuals from Porto Alegre, runs from 6 to 29 October, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
In the Baden Powell room in Copacabana, the assembly “Pulse” recalls the massacre at the gay nightclub of the same name, in Florida (USA), where 50 young Latinos were murdered.
